Beautiful

Swan, River, Lake

A ripple meets the river bankThe paddling swan now passing byHe leaves his mark sparkling in the sunHis future path has not yet swum. You the sun, and I, a swan

These words a string of ripplesAs I swim on, and you shineOn my future path I must go by.

These words from movements past Or freshly now as rippled meaningsGently flow across the mindMade silver by your light.

No river for these ripples writNo cygnet for a swan begetNot any meaning in this verseExcept your shining makesAs rivers seek to merge with lakes.
